The Practice

The Crookes Practice is an established General Practice committed to providing high quality patient centred healthcare. The practice was formed in 1983 from two existing practices and has always tried to be at the leading edge of developments for patient benefits. The present list size is approximately 8500.

We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses and other attached health care professionals such as; district nurses, health visitors and midwives.  We are a paperless, fully computerised practice using electronic patient notes, whilst maintaining full patient confidentiality.

We are committed to education and training. We have medical students and trainee GP’s (registrars) on placement here.  This means that you may sometimes be asked, before your appointment, if it is alright for a student to observe,  please tell us if you would not be happy with this.

The Crookes  Practice is a research accredited practice and we co-ordinate research projects throughout the year.  Our research clinical lead is Dr M Howse and our research admin lead is Amanda Hobson.  We will never include you in any study unless prior consent has been given.
